Nikki Sixx's memoir to get Broadway treatment

Motley Crue star Nikki Sixx's memoir is set to get the Broadway treatment.

The rocker's tome, "The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star," was created from a collection of Sixx's journals during the 1980s, when he was struggling with a severe drug addiction. And now the book, which was released in 2007, is to be converted into a New York City stage show.

Revealing the news in a post on Facebook, he writes, "Ive (sic) been getting asked this a lot lately& The answer is: Yes, 'The Heroin Diaries' book is being turned into a broadway play. More news to follow in the next few months....Were getting pretty far down the road...We hope for a late 2013 or early 2014 (date) for it to open."

What are the odds that from the very beginning of his career was a bad cliche?

 

Do people really believe that he stole a guitar just to play bass? Kind of odd knowing how to play a musical instrument without owning one at a very young age.

The book was great, maybe this play might be too. Lets refrain our distain till the reviews are in.

Wow, what are they trying to do?  A show about a crappy band member and his problems with his life after he got the fame he wanted.  OOOHHHH, the poor cry baby idiot and how he threw away all his money.  BOOHOO, he was so stupid and now wants us to feel bad for him.
