Elton John to become a dad again
Music legend Sir Elton John and his partner David Furnish are "over the moon" at the prospect of becoming parents for a second time as their surrogate is pregnant again, according to a report. The Rocket Man hitmaker and Furnish already have a son, Zachary Furnish-John, who was born in December, 2010 from the same surrogate. The mother, whose identity will never be revealed, is thought to live in California and is believed to have been connected with the pair through the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino. She is set to give birth again next year (13), according to British newspaper The Sun. A source close to the couple tells the publication, "They are over the moon. Elton and David love this lady like a sister and they feel indebted to her for life. Naturally she has been well rewarded. But her identity will never be revealed." Sir Elton recently revealed he hopes to have more children and expand his family, insisting he doesn't want his son to grow up as an only child.

Hey 'wirelessmouse',

How is the desire to love and raise a child/children pretending? Anyone, regardless of gender or sexual orientation can be a good parent, if they have the desire to be a good parent!  And biology has little to do with who can/will be a good parent.

I have known many young women who have a handful of children with multiple men, and quite a large number of them are NOT good parents! They are more interested in the pursuit and capture of the next guy, usually with a pregnancy 'sealing the deal'!

And I have seen a growing number of young men step up and be very reliable 'hands on' Fathers, even single Fathers.

There are many thousands of children in social services hands every day, and they could place many children in loving family settings if they did not have an arbitrary definition of who can be a family. Then you condemn non-traditional families for 'going outside the system' to acquire children to raise when you have cut them out of your consideration!

We humans are generally pack animals as opposed to being loners and we will gather around us the people we love and that love us, THAT is a family!

The world would be such a lovely place if love and compassion were the norm rather than hate and divisiveness like it is. It's very easy to fall in love with a child and want to raise and guide them into the world, every single person on the planet should have the capacity to feel  this way! This is a good thing!

What bigotry spews from the mouths of the folks who contribute their hurtful opinions on this site is astounding and pitiful.  You should all be ashamed of yourselves!!!  Elton John and David Furnish are giving their children a good home and great upbringing, which I dare say is likely more than any of you hateful people have provided for any of your devil spawn.  I just feel bad that Elton likely won't be around to see his children grow up to their full potential because he's not getting any younger.  Still, he'll do the best he can for them, and Furnish is still young enough to be able to see them through lives worth living.  I wish I could say the same for the rest of the hate mongers who feel their opinions matter, but I can't. Crawl back into your holes, you demons.  And carry your hatred with you!!!  Be gone!!!

Sad thing is, it's not the gay people that are having the gay babies, it's the straight people. Wonder when doctors will be able to determine the gay genes in the fetus from the straight genes so they can abort them, just saying.

true, gay will always be different, but, if a gay couple wants a child, and they are willing to provide, nurture, protect, and help..why not?  I am a straight male, and find it no big deal.  Gays can make great parents. I know of 2 men I work with, they have a son, not sure of all the details, but, I have met the son, as he works at a credit union I go to once a month, and he is a bright, nice kid. He obviously is cool with 2 parents being gay, and he turned out to be a great kid.

It's a lot like adoption, parents usually have to pay a lot for a adopted kid, or baby, and since I have never married, I have always thought of adopting myself.  It's a lot better to have a parent that wants you, than some of the parents today, that treat their kids as no good for nothings. Some couples pop out more kids for extra welfare checks..what good is that on society?  So for Elton and his partner, good for them. they obviously have the money to give the child a great upbringing, and I am sure they want kids for the love of a child. Doesn't hurt you, so why bother to complain?  Also, many married couples can't have kids for health, or pregnancy reasons, so I find it not very different, from gays wanting kids.
