Springsteen thanks storm's first responders at show

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) -- At a concert in upstate New York, Bruce Springsteen offered his
thanks to police officers, firefighters and government officials for their
storm relief efforts.

Springsteen made the comments Wednesday night at the Rochester Blue Cross
Arena as he dedicated "My City of Ruins" to his hometown of Asbury Park, N.J.,
in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
The Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concert was originally scheduled
for Tuesday night, but it was postponed because of flight cancellations for the
band and ticket holders.
