Foster the People singer kicked out of Prince gig for cellphone use

Foster the People frontman Mark Foster begged security guards to let him back into a Prince concert after he was kicked out for using his cellphone during the show.

The rocker attended a surprise gig by Prince at the tiny Sayers Club in Hollywood on Tuesday, but he failed to comply with a mandatory mobile phone check-in on the door.

Midway through the concert, venue staff spotted Foster with the device and booted him out of the concert. In film footage obtained by TMZ, Foster can be seen urging a security boss to allow him back inside.

He was allowed back in after spending two minutes begging to be readmitted and showing security bosses there were no photos from the show on his phone.

“I read the news today...oh boy.” — Mark Foster, via Twitter
“Gossip is like toothpaste being squeezed out of the tube. Once it leaves your mouth, you can't take it back.” — Mark Foster, via Twitter
“All day I've been seeing people talk about someone's hair. A hair cut. A girl cut her hair. Phone the press! Call Japan! She cut her hair!” — Mark Foster, via Twitter

Literally, my reactions! The last one, instead of "girl cut her hair", I saw "man had taken his phone out". Don't forget these wise words, people! ;D Sigh, I laugh and get angry at you haters at the same time, you're lame.

Since they have similar high voices, if anything Mark wouldn't be taking pictures but recording Prince's voice to improve his own voice.

they should kick this guy out of his own shows.Maybe he was at a Prince show to learn how to play an instrument

Why is it necessary for people to bad mouth Prince because the attendee refused to follow the rules?!?!  When no type of media recording devices or even cell phones are allowed, it usually means he's playing new material that he doesn't want leaked....and no, it has nothing to do with America's fickle sense of "popularity" since Prince can play, sing & dance almost every artist into a corner with his professionalism and talent that does span 30 years unlike these fly by night, no talent, barely can play an instrument and have others write their pitiful material that won't be remembered in 30 years songs!

Couple of things. If you want to be somewhere where no cell phones are allowed, put the flipping thing away. If you think the rules don't apply to you, I'm sure there will be someone there a LOT bigger than you are to remind you they do. You don't have a Kolob-given right to film every GD thing that happens and post it on your wall.

Secondly, I'd say it's Mark Foster who's the whiny little bitch. Hey Mark, if you ever grow out of your twee little ditties and childish sing-song hooks, maybe you'll be lucky enough to have a 30+ year career, and be respected by almost every one of your contemporaries. When Prince is in the house, attention and respect must be paid.
