The president meets the Boss on this week's Billboard charts, thanks to the Democratic National Convention.

After Bruce Springsteen's song "We Take Care of Our Own" was played at the end of President Obama's speech at the convention on Sept. 6, the song surged with a 409% sales gain. In the week ending Sept. 9, it sold 2,000 downloads -- its best sales week since March.
The President's speech was the finale of the three-day event, and was broadcast across an array of TV networks (including ABC, CBS and NBC) as well as via YouTube and many other streaming sites.

The "We Take Care of Our Own" parent album, "Wrecking Ball," also saw a sales increase. It rises from No. 199 to No. 112 on the Billboard 200 chart with 3,000 sold (a weekly gain of 37%).
Earlier this year, "Wrecking Ball" became Springsteen's tenth No. 1 album, tying him with Elvis Presley for the third-most No. 1s in the chart's history. Only the Beatles (19) and Jay-Z (12) have more.
If America wants to become a better place the people have to improve themselves. The only way to improve is to concentrate on yourself, not persecute and scream at others. It has a whole lot less to do with anything other than the people themselves doing their best and helping others to be their best, regardless of their situation.
What made America great was it was a country where anyone could succeed and the public had a belief in fair play, inclusion and decency.
I hope America's future is a good one and all the horrible things people say now are merely a temporary condition, not the beginning of a nightmare which will become vastly worse if it continues in the present direction of hate, intolerance and vindictiveness.
The majority of people in the arts are liberals therefore democrat. What a surprise that THE BOSS tows the company line. Only when they can see how outrageous so called progressive behavior is decaying our society, that took centuries to build, do they decide to speak out and do something about it. her husbands "anything goes" politics and took a necessary stand to stop the decay. It is a matter of responsibility instead of sticking your head in the sand. Dems and Reps are a good system for checks and balances. When one goes too far the other becomes the answer . You fail to live up to your word you are voted out of office.
