Adam Lambert performs 'Bohemian Rhapsody' with Queen in Kiev

RollingStone

Adam Lambert kicked off his long-awaited mini-tour with Queen last night, serving as frontman for the band at Independence Square in Kiev, Ukraine. They performed a two-hour set in the Euro 2012 fan zone as part of a joint concert with Elton John to benefit the Elena Pinchuk ANTIAIDS Foundation.

Bing: Listen to music from Queen

Lambert, who first performed with Queen as a contestant on "American Idol" and joined them for several songs at the 2011 MTV European Music Awards, had planned to perform with his idols at the U.K. Sonisphere Festival before the event was canceled in March.

The pairing head next to Russia for a July 3 concert at the Olympic Arena in Moscow.

Tell us on Facebook: How does Adam's performance compare to Freddie Mercury?

Hey Betty! What is the name on the door? God or satan? Prejudice of the sin yes but not of the man. No one is perfect but never once did Freddy M ever acknowledge God in public. Yet he gave a good show I hear. I believe in the eleventh hour to make peace with God but I wouldn't leave it til then. I hope he did make right with God. But you and I will never know. All we can go on is his public persona and even had he declared his belief in God no one really knows except God if he ever made peace with God. I certainly hope so.

Hey Betty 206,
Would that be the back door? Sorry but I'm saying what I feel just like all the homosexuals do.

Brian May and Roger Taylor are not Queen..they are 1/2 of Queen!Adam Lame-bert is just another cash cow for the money/fame hungry May/Taylor duo.As a person that has all of the Queen albums(except the umpteenth crappy greatest hit collections),and most of the solo works...I'm asking that you stop this tribute/karaoke band nonsense and,at least go back to the honest freshness of the May/Taylor/Rodgers era.

And calling yourself Queen has got to stop.Without John Deacon, you aren't.Without Freddie, you aren't.It's like seeing Kiss without their make-up ,Pink Floyd without either David Glimore or Roger Waters.

Or here's an idea. Why don't you have two performing Queens, one touring with May,one with Taylor..and maybe even a third with Lambert. That way you can cover Los Vegas,Broadway and London all at the same time

Overall I think it's a great performance, minus the odd note. I never saw Queen or Freddie, but I've seen Adam Lambert live in concert, singing his own music, and he sang every note beautifully.  Opening night is always a test, and practice makes perfect. People who were actually at the concert report a great live show.
