Much like you, we're still buzzing from the sheer awesomeness of Paris Hilton's feature in Manufactured Superstars' "Drunk Text" music video. But, alas, Paris fans, it seems she will not be burning up her forthcoming sophomore LP by including the track on it. We received official statements today from both Hilton's camp and Manufactured Superstars regarding the leak of "Drunk Text," a video that was apparently recorded over a year ago.

"We can confirm that the video leaked [yesterday] is not part of Paris Hilton's new album," a Hilton rep emailed us. "This video was recorded over a year ago. The first single will be out in a few months, we will let everyone know when it's due for release."

Meanwhile, Manufactured Superstars, who whipped up the track, had this to say: "Paris did this music video as a favor for us. It's not part of her new album. This is an unfinished rough-cut, which was not ready for release. We're looking into what happened and removing the illegal copies from the web. We've heard some songs from her new record which are incredible and are really going to surprise people."
Removing from the web? Darn. Talk about a buzz kill. Expect a sobering text from us in protest, gentlemen.
