Katy Perry disses ex-husband, Russell Brand, on Grammy stage

By Liz Kelly Nelson

Striking a blow for irate exes everywhere, Katy Perry took the opportunity to use her live Grammy performance to deliver a dis to her ex-husband, Russell Brand, in front of millions of viewers.

Perry performed the song "Part of Me," which was apparently a track that didn't make the cut for her "Teenage Dream" album, but will be included on a yet-to-come re-release.

The song was a generic enough breakup anthem about not having one's soul broken by a rotten ex. Apparently, though, some lyrics were rewritten post-breakup, and Perry sang that new version Sunday:

"You can keep the diamond ring
It don't mean nothing anyway
In fact you can keep everything
Yeah, yeah, except for me"

We get Katy's irritation with her ex, but the money part is kind of odd, since the two recently settled their separation agreement financials and Brand will be walking away with none of Perry's estimated $40 million fortune.

I'm on TEAM KATY!  I was smiling the entire time she performed.  Brand is an idiot!  He will never do better than her.

Slow news day?  You said yourself this song was from a previous album, one made before her divorce.  I'd say it's just coincedence.  Don't take everything a singer says literally.

Drama queen Katy needs to grow up.  I don't know what he did to her to make her so bitter, but using her Grammy's performance to stick it to her ex is petty and childish.  I guess I'm not that surprised considering the blue hair and ice cream sundae bra.

wow,the comments on this blog are mean spirited and unnecessary,Katy Perry,is talented entertainer, yes sometimes she is outrageous, but she is talent, what we hate here in ameica or anywhere for that matter is success,we root for the underdog, but when the underdog, rises to the top we cannot wait for them to fall.....we actually root for it,.....we don't know what happenned in her relationship with russel, but it is over, like many other relationships sometimes they last and sometimes they fail,ce la vie...but Katy is a talent and no one has the right to hope for her downfall.....grow up america
