Miley Cyrus pays tribute to Bob Dylan in 'Lonesome' video

Who knew Bob Dylan's music had magical powers to turn flashy, attention-seeking pop stars into sensitive warblers?

After Ke$ha showed a softer, glitter-less side by covering "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" for the Bob Dylan tribute album "Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International," next up is Miley Cyrus, who takes on "You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go."

Bing: Tributes to Bob Dylan

The cover has a lovely, more relaxed arrangement of Dylan's original song, and Miley sounds more raw and subtle than she's ever sounded before. (See, Miley? You don't need gigantic bird wings or age-inappropriate outfits in order to get people talking.)

Tell us on Facebook: How did Miley do singing Bob Dylan song?

It's not Bob, but it is good....I still like Bob...I guess you still like the first way you always

hear the song because you have meanings with the song....

One of his many favorites of mine. I prefer his version or him doing it - but if she does it this way - it's good too! She sounds so innocent compared to Bob which she is comparatively for the time he wrote that he had lived a good while out there. And his background and all - she's still making her road. I respect her a lot. I hope people will dust off his recordings and take a true listen.
I bet she has sung it 7 different ways since she recorded it. She's a youngin' - I respect her for doing it.

Nicely done Miley,as for what Jude said in his comment.Listen to the words of his songs, not his singing and then you'll see why everyone in music holds him in such high regard.Even the Beatles paid tribute to him with Rocky Racoon
