Adele to sing next Bond theme?

Soul superstar Adele has sent fans into a frenzy by hinting she is next in line to record a James Bond theme.

The London-born singer teased her big secret during an interview with U.K. TV host Jonathan Ross after he asked about her upcoming projects.

Adele mentioned the recording studio, before blurting out, "It is actually a theme, what I've got to do. Wow, that's really giving something away!"

She then covered her mouth, and Ross began humming the Bond theme tune. Adele added, "It's a concept. One song."

Adele will be in good company if she does end up on the superspy soundtrack -- Jack White and Alicia Keys, Madonna, Paul McCartney and Shirley Bassey have all released 007 themes.

the last few BONDS have been weak in all, story/star/theme. Craig just doesn't have it,
Agreed!  I haven't cared for the last two Bonds.  I don't like his pursed pouty platypus lips either...  Thumbs down

I really liked Chris Cornell's You Know My Name.  Can't wait to hear Adele sing the next theme song.  Must be tough being locked into the Bond chords, though.

Adele is a good singer and I like her work, however I am in agreement with my husband that they should get that Air Force girl who is on the virile video with a cover for "Rolling In The Deep" to do the theme song as she has a lot more emotion in the song. Much more raw talent there.

So obviously the next james bond title will be "Rolling in the deep" right?

BTW, Adele is a class act.  She will do wonderfully!
