Alice Cooper is to perform a concert in London as a hologram while he's more than 5,000 miles away in the United States.

The rock legend wants to combine cutting-edge technology with his love of the macabre to create a ghostly presence of himself and his band for the concert in May.

The band will play tracks live in Hollywood and their images will be beamed to London, where they will be turned into holograms for fans attending the show, dubbed Britain's first holographic 4-D rock gig.

In a statement, Cooper says, "We couldn't resist this ... [It's] the ultimate experience, a cutting-edge conjuring trick that celebrates the future and our history. We can't wait to see the results!"

Bob is absolutely right. Alice Cooper is a rock legend. My generation has given you KISS, Sammy Hagar, Ted Nugent, AC-DC, Styx, REO Speedwagon -- Need I go on? What has this generation given us? Lady Kaka! Music today is a joke. These "artists" don't even write their own songs; they have some nobody come up with a guitar rift, maybe a few bars on the piano, thrown in some fake drums, make it into a "music loop" and try to make up a few words to fit the beat, and hey, if that doesn't work, make it into a rap! The music industry blames pirating for their losses; have they ever thought that the music today just plain sucks? If I want new music, I've started listening to country. At least the artists in that genre perform from the heart and because they really love music instead of looking for a way to rip people off.

eugene:  go back and read the title of this thread one more time real slow.  Just so you don't get all freakin' worked up and excited, it said "holographic," NOT something else!
