Alice Cooper is to perform a concert in London as a hologram while he's more than 5,000 miles away in the United States.

The rock legend wants to combine cutting-edge technology with his love of the macabre to create a ghostly presence of himself and his band for the concert in May.
The band will play tracks live in Hollywood and their images will be beamed to London, where they will be turned into holograms for fans attending the show, dubbed Britain's first holographic 4-D rock gig.

In a statement, Cooper says, "We couldn't resist this ... [It's] the ultimate experience, a cutting-edge conjuring trick that celebrates the future and our history. We can't wait to see the results!"
