The photos were allegedly stolen from JFK International Airport in late October as part of an extortion plot.
Bailon's spokesman, Jonathan Jaxson, released the following statement to TMZ.
"The photos that have surfaced of Adrienne Bailon were stolen from her laptop over a week ago at an airport in New York and sent to several media outlets. These photos were taken in private. Adrienne will be pursuing legal action against the person or persons sending these private photos out. Adrienne is deeply sorry for any pain this may have caused to her fans."
The man who allegedly stole the photos demanded $1,000 in exchange for the laptop, TMZ reported. He was given the money and returned the laptop, but the semi-nude photos of Bailon were missing.
According to TMZ, the photos were meant to be an anniversary present for Bailon's boyfriend Robert Kardashian.
Bailon is the latest Disney star to be involved in a photo controversy. In late April teen star Miley Cyrus received criticism over a somewhat provocative photo shoot she did for Vanity Fair magazine and in September 2007 nude photos of "High School Musical" star Vanessa Hudgens leaked onto the Web.
