Jewel has taken a shine to matrimony.
The singer, born Jewel Kilcher, eloped with her longtime boyfriend, bull-riding champ Ty Murray, in the Bahamas Thursday night (Aug. 7), reports People.
"She wore a traditional wedding gown, while Ty wore his favorite blue jeans, white shirt and cowboy hat," says Jewel's rep. "The couple is very happy and look forward to enjoying their honeymoon."
The private ceremony and elopement is in keeping with the couple's penchant for keeping their relationship low profile. They've been dating for 10 years, and last year, Jewel had stated that marrying wasn't urgent.
"We don't know if there's a point -- we've lapped our friends who've gotten married and divorced," she explained. "We probably would if we had kids -- we're just not sure we want them yet. But we've had something really special already."
The couple resides in Stephenville, Texas, on a 2,200-acre ranch.
Murray, 38, hosted last year's "Ty Murray's Celebrity Bull-Riding Challenge" on CMT and appears in his wife's video "I Do."
Jewel, 34, has previously hosted "Nashville Star" and appeared on "Men in Trees." On the big screen, she starred in Ang Lee's 1999 film "Ride With the Devil." She's received three Grammy Award nominations and has sold over 27 million albums worldwide.
