My bff had a play at school on it and she was 1 of the main characters. I heard the songs and fell in love. That was like three years ago. Now, that I live in AK, it totally forgot about it. Then like twoweeks ago, my friend Erika was listening to it on her I-pod... she and I were in a seperate room from the rest of the class, so we shut the door and sang until our social studies teacher caught us!! WHOOPS!!! Anyway.. I just bought the soundtrack and you have to too!!!!!!! Was this review helpful? I had only heard two of the songs previous to owning this album. I absolutely love it! The music is amazing and the vocals are sensational! The book is more for adults, but the musical is simply wonderful. All the songs on it are astoundingly wonderful. Some of my friends and I are totally into Broadway and at a slumber party my one friend starting singing For Good, Defying Gravity, and Popular, and I immediately got hooked. I borrowed her CD and had the whole thing memorized the next day. Like so many others who have posted reviews on this site, Defying Gravity gives me the goosebumbs, shivers, whatever you want to call them. I go through a quite extensive variety of emotions when I hear the awesome talents of actresses Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth. I cant wait to see them in Wicked when I go to New York this spring. Definately buy this album, and it will change you For Good!!! Was this review helpful? Defying gravity is absolutley amazing. Some songs you may appreciate and enjoy better then others depending on who you are, but all in all if you like broadway musicals this is a great one to add to your collection.
