It may not have gotten far, but to the 5000 people who have bought the album wanted to start a band, now I'm going to start my own band. This album is a piece of history itself. A good set from the calm "Sunday Morning", to the sexist "Venus in Furs", the beautiful vocals of "Femme Fatale", "All Tommorrow Parties", "I'll Be Your Mirror", the groovy "Run, Run, Run", "There She Goes Again", the junkie song "Heroin", and the violent "I'm Waiting For The Man". This is a must for any music fan. If you have not heard this album, and you have more than 2,000 songs on your MP3 Player, you are not a music fan. Was this review helpful? Listen to this album and then any song by The Strokes, and if you dont hear a musical similariaty, then you definitely hear the similarities between the vocals.
Someone once said that when this album was released, maybe only 1000 people bought it. But each of those 1000 people were inspired to start a band. Was this review helpful? It covers and influences several genres of music and is the Velvet Underground at their very best. NOTHING sounded like this album, it changed rock and is a must-have for serious classic rock collections. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-4 of 4 Per Page |
