They toured this year to support A Bigger Bang and around my birthday I thought, yeah, some Stones. This was originally released as a 2 lp set. Regardless of what any other reviewer says, this CD has NO FODDER. I never press the skip button. This is a thick gumbo of crawdads, okra, cheap whiskey and cheatin women ranging from straight up country to gospel to out-n-out rockers. It is easy to see why Tom Waits rates this CD as 4 on his ten most influential recordings. Listen to Just Want to See His Face and try not to think of Tom Waits. It was relevant music in the 70's and hasn't diminished since. This album perfectly blends blues, soul, country, R&B, and gospel into something that can only be called pure Rock'n Roll.
The lyrics are spectacular and nobody jams better than Keith Richards and the rhythm section of the Stones. These guys could be the greatest of all time...even better than the Beatles.
