At first it doesn't even sound like the 'Stones at all, but further listening will confirm that it is they, though caught in some kind of "where are we going next?" musical laboratory. I read somewhere that Keith Richards likes this album, and I think I can see why; this is a very "Beatles-like" album, and Keith was always looking to the Beatles as models. The songs themselves are creative with interesting arrangments. People who listen to the 'Stones occasionly probably have only heard the two single hits that are on this American version ("Ruby Tuesday" and "Lets' Spend The Night Together"). This album was released after the Beatles released "Revolver" and before they released "Sgt. Pepper", and it fits nicely in between those two. Check this album out if you like original, sixties pop/rock. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-1 of 1 Per Page |
