Although many songs on this album were definitions of the band in the commercial limelight, its a sad shame how psychadelic classics like "Unhappy Girl", "When the Music's over", and classic rock tunes like "My eyes are seein you" are often overlooked and passed off as non-hits. Relish these songs. For they are the Doors we hardly ever saw. The band who didn't care frankly if their songs went number One. So talent-soaked that they would spit out a commercial masterpiece like "Hello I love you" simply because "we wanted something to hit Number One again". Hopefully you will all listen to the three aforementioned songs and learn about a Door to little of us know. Was this review helpful? Sign In 5 out of 6 users found this helpful Strange Days to the Rescue!Posted: 8/16/2002A review of Strange Days by qbeezer This follow up to the first album really established the Doors as a force to be reckoned with back in the late 60's. Not only are the songs on this album great but i also love the cover on the album. In this album the songs are very psychedelic and groovy. This album also gives some of Jim's poetry some nice airtime with the little ditty Horse Latitudes, no instruments, just a bunch of people screaming in the background and banging on things while Jim does his thing, Cool! One of Jim's favorite songs is on this album, Love me two times (which was written by Robby Krieger). I highly recommend this album!
