Date  Helpful Rating 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  Nothing Is Sound, And Beyond!Posted: 2/1/2006A review of Nothing Is Sound by YouFoundBlevins Switchfoot turns out another great album with a few songs you love the very first time you hear them (Lonely Nation, Stars, Shadows, We Are One Tonight) and some other songs that grow on you and end up being some of your favorite on the album (Nothing Is Sound, Blues, Daisy, etc). Their sound is a cool mix of sometimes complex drum runs, cool production with a sometimes unpredictable side, and Jons voice that is all at once barely hitting the right note and sounding incredibly perfect and fitting at the same time. These guys put alot of effort into their lyrics and they really look to connect with the listener. One of my favorite bands, and some good guys! They can throw down the progressive, melodic rock with anybody in the biz. If you like anything from U2 to Pearl Jam to Blink, youll dig this album.

The overall meaning of Easier Than Love is perfectly worded. Not to mention the spiritual meanings in the shadow approves the Sunshine and in The setting Sun. And the other meaningful songs The Blues one of my favorites and well all of the rest of the songs. One thing thats makes Switchfoot so Awesome is they take the experiences they had in Africa i think it was and in everyday life and put them in their songs. I suggest this Album to anyone and everyone. Its refreshing knowing theres a band out there who realizes they dont got life all figured out and that they dont pretend they do. Switchfoot keep it up!!!!! Dont change one thing about the songs you write and youll always be my favorite and the favorite of all your fans. Was this review helpful?
