It not worse than the first, to me its almost as good but in this album the songs are darker and yes its more of hard industrial rock but Stabbing Westward is still good. I love the song The Thing I Hate it means a lot to me.

"Darkest Days" may be as good as Wither,Blister and Peel" but maybe because WBP was such a breath of fresh air that the songs on "Darkest Days" Don't seem as good. But the apple didn't fall far from the tree. This album will get you jacked up and is a must listen. All but 3 slow boring songs are must listen.Beats a lot of today's alt and nu rock music bands that have half of the vocals, songwriting ability and overall talent of Stabbing Westward,Although this band can definitely give NIN a thanks to mainstreaming industrial rock.Very original-excellent lyrics and songs.Go out and buy to hear great music

These guys went more towards NIN and used more electronics and made the lyrics darker. I like it but you have to listen to it several times to appreciate it. If you liked their fisrt album this will not disapoint.
