PUNK ROCK @ IT'S BEST!! simply put~ Keep rockin' this SOCIALLY DISTORTED world~ I promise I'll do my part 2 open the myriad of American eyes that have been sewn shut by this So-Called-land of the free; Our endangered species needs to get off the couch where they b***h&Moan 'bout the injustices of the Gov. and get out on that soapbox, podium, whatever it takes, and truely back-up these convictions; it may seem useless,helpless,rediculus-but, u know what?! the more ppl think that way, the more power they r giving to this corrupt nation! ~listen, learn from SOCIAL DISTORTION!!

This is probably the best Social Distortion CD ever! All of their CDs rock, but I like this one best. I like Cold Feelings, Bad Luck, Sick Boys... uhh... And every other song on this CD... I LOVE 99 to Life... It makes me cry! Sometimes I Do... EVERY SONG Go buy this CD and every other Social Distortion CD! They Rock!

All my life I have hated country music (no offense). Mainly the twangy sound, second the self-absorbed, self-centered, self-indulgent self-pity. Yet here I find these George Jones type lyrics set to a punk sound. The effect is riveting. I have never heard anything quite like it, and sometimes I can't stop listening to it. ";Born to Lose"; is this album's best song but ";This time Darlin'"; is more country than country. Social Distortion's best song ";Ball and chain"; is on another album, but this is their best album. Beyond the obvious content of these songs lies a deeper question: Are they serious? Are these songs just about misery or are they a parody of songs about misery or even of self-pity itself? Only this group knows, but who cares? I am satisfied just to listen for hours...
