It's one of my favorites, and I typically listen to instrumental rock and jazz. I think that there is something so authentic, inspired, and compelling about this work that i can't quite put it into words. Personally, I don't see how anyone could be in the least bit critical of it, and recommend it highly. Was this review helpful? For some strange reason, it reminds me of Creedence Clearwater Revival. I recommend this album to anybody who appreciates good music. Was this review helpful? What a different sound! I was lucky enough to see Cheryl with my 2 older daughters at the last Lilith Fair, in 1999, in Homdel, NJ. She is just fabulous! I don't have the album but know a few of the other songs, like Run Baby Run etc... This definitely was only the beginning for Cheryl! Was this review helpful? Made me look forward to more things to come. The highlight of the album for me is the song "Strong Enough." Pure raw emotion, sung from the heart. This was a tough album to top, but Sheryl managed to do it twice more! Was this review helpful? While some rely on the talents of others, this album reeked of Sheryl's creativity, soul and spirit and was an excellent prelude to her future releases. As many have done, Sheryl Crow used a known producer on her debut album, whether that was her call or the labels is unknown to me, but after hearing the next two releases that she did produce, it is apparent that Sheryl had her hands in this project. Bravo Miss Crow, bravo on a job superbly done. Was this review helpful? It is obvious that Sheryl Crow writes and sings with heart, based upon experiences that she has had in the past. "Strong Enough" is a perfect example. She writes on past experiences that other listenters can relate to. She also talks about real life situations in her songs that many listeners can relate to as well, songs like "Run Baby Run,""No One Said It Would Be Easy," and "All I Wanna Do."<br>Sheryl is a great artist who has extraordinary singing ability. Her range of abilities is great. <br>I also believe that her teaming up with Stevie Nicks is a great move. She has been able to find more listeners, who probably never considered her abilities before. Was this review helpful? It gave a minor feel of how good Sheryl would become and that all of her music to come was gonna get better and have more feel to the songs that she puts out Was this review helpful?
