I have to say that Oral Fixation Vol 2 is even better! There isnt a song on this album that isnt great. I love How do you do? and Timor, songs about religion and politics, respectively. There arent too many artists who can make great songs about religion and politics and have them be so appealing. Of course, I love songs about love Something, and Illegal with the legendary Carlos Santana in the background. This album is amazing! I listen to it nearly everyday! Was this review helpful? Shakira fans have been waiting years for her to release a new CD since the last one. Just when it seemed as though the Shakira decade was over...a new CD! But is it good? Good does not even describe this CD. This CD is a pulse pounding, heart wrenching, roller coaster ride which is one of Shakiras best! Singing of topics such as God, politics, and love, Shakira really hits the spot with this CD. Her hit debut Dont Bother was a great start off song. I couldnt wait for it to come out when I listened to Fijacion Oral vol.1, and now Im more than pleased. All of the Shakiras albums are perfect but this one is more than perfect... How Do You Do is a great song maybe kind of Octavo Dia, but the way she talks about god is great, I am not into christian music, but this song was fabulous...also Illegal, Costume Makes the Clown and Timor are nice songs. I didnt believe my ears this record is something unexpected. The firts track how Do You Do will leave you thinking about religion and how the world is suffering right now (bet you didnt think Shakira could do that). From this piont, it is all good por-rock music, but more rock than pop. The lyrics are great, smart (Custome Makes the Clown, Your Embrace, Illegal) and even ironic (Timor) wich has a Disco sound. Animal sounds make part of this record too (Animal City) and even funny lyrics (Hey You). Shakira really accomplished one of the best records of her carreer (if not the best) and as I said before the best record of the year. Was this review helpful? Its simply great... However i found strange when hearing it!!! two off the song were already in her spanish album (but here theyre in english, of course).
