This is the epitome of the history of rap music. A timeless classic which will go down in history as one of the greatest rap albums ever. Just the mention of Run DMC is enough to bring back the vibe of yesteryear, gone but never forgotten. An era of breakdancing, scratching, hip hop without all the tension and angst. dj come of age www.djcoa.com

Omigosh! This song still gives me the shivers when I hear it. The first time I heard this is when me, Jahzej, and my girls Dimple D and Sheshalic was walking down the street back in the day, with our gigantic boom box on our shoulder, listening to DJ Red Alert. I can't remember what radio station since it was quite a while ago. But I do remember what we had on; Levis jeans and the jacket to match, we also had on our hoodies with a fake dukey rope, Chunky earrings, I think mine was the bamboo, On our feet was the grey on white ADIDAS with the fat shoe laces...Any way the song came one and in a matter of minutes we knew this was the hot joint. We screamed jumped and nearly cried, we were so excited that Run DMC came out with another song, but this time Jam Master Jay was doing his thing and it was magnified. We knew this one was different, it had crazy scratching and the bass was out of this world. Well much time has passed and we listend to other songs and other groups for that matter but, when I heard the awful news of Jam master Jay. I decided to go online and listen to some of Run DMC's greatest hit album. When I came across this special song. I imediately called my girls and reminesced about the first time hearing that song. Again we screamed and started to feel the nostalgia all over again. My daughter who is 14yrs old can't understand why we were buggin out over some OLD music. That's when I told my girls, I gotta go and school my child. And on that note I would reccommend any one who doesn't have this album or any albums of Run DMC to run out and get it. Then sit down and teach their children about the real Hip Hop! Jam Master Jay, you will be missed. All blessings go out to you and your family.

The first time I head their album I got soooo excited. Not only do I love this album but I am Jam Master Jay's son's friend. I go to school with the kid. I love their music. I will never like any music again. They were the best.

If you are indeed an old schooler like myself,(34) then you will get ";jiggy"; while this album is jammmin'. These old school beats remind me of when I was seventeen and rap became as common in my life as cornbread and mustard greens. In other words if ";you funky enough"; pick up the smash hits delivered by beats and lyrics, and remember Run, DMC and Jam Master Jay their sound is as new as ever!
