This is a must for anyone who isn't familiar and wants to learn. Back in the early days of keys and synths, he just wears it out on 1982's "1999."
Can't go wrong. This is where he came from. Other good stuff: "Controversy," and everybody knows "Purple Rain." There's a lot to hear out of him, too. These are the tip of the iceberg.

This is the album for those who want some serious jam. This is another really fun album. Again, Prince does a terrific job with every genre he touches (mostly funk in this one). Enjoy the ride.
