His voice is very graspy. He has a voice like no other. I just connected to all of his songs and realized that he wrote them and Im like, WOW! He is really talented!
Give his voice a chance. Dont just look at his looks. Hear his voice and how comforting it sounds. So sick always is like a lullaby for me. For me, there is always a story behind a song, usually I cant find the story behind any song, like Stars are Blind by Paris Hilton, but, once I heard Neyos voice and his song, I could find the story, imagine it in my head.

Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful According To The CapoPosted: 8/31/2006A review of In My Own Words by Anonymous It is very surprising that someone so young in age would to be able to deliver such emotion and feeling through their music, but Ne-Yo seems to have that rare gene that enables him to be able to deliver words that connect people together regardles of age, like so many other male artists before him (Michael Jackson, Usher, Tevin Cambell, etc.) You can create a playlist from this album to fit your mood, from the ballads to the currently popular RB dance tracks, In My Own Words covers all the bases, it is a good purchase for those looking to express themselves through the music the listen to. Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful Ne Yo In My Own Words RB KINGPosted: 8/7/2006A review of In My Own Words by SynDiCAtE6 This album was a change for me as myself I am usually a Hip HOp man but I loved It You can feel the music in his voice it flows through him he doesnt have an ego he has a true love for the music usually when you buy an album you only enjoy some tracks not everyone I found enjoyed every single one of them Ne Yo I love this album like i was saying before he isnt trying to sell himself hes selling his music and you can tell he loves it now with tracks on there such as I aint gotta tell you it shows his true respect for women which as most people know there isnt any in the rap game so i respect him for that and i love the fact you can really relate to any of these tracks this is definiteley the best RB debut of 2006 which is good because frankly there is no one decent in teh rap game thanks for widening my range of music Ne YO keep up the excellent work. His music is a breath of fresh air to true music lovers because his lyrics actually make sense!!This album is a sensible buy and his live show is devoid of smoke and mirrors usually used to make up for lack of talent.
