This is my least favorite MCR allbum, and i will tell you why. This album is definately not as dark as thier previous two, and just overall doesnt seem as sincere. The songs obviously have some motivation behind them , but they just seem empty..can't really think of another word to describe them. Yes, they are catchy, but idk they just aren't the same...Most of the songs are about death (as they usually are), so it's not really a "happy album", however the pop-ish, upbeat tempo brings up the mood a bit. I guess if you were to listen to one song and judge the album off it, I would listen to Teenagers, or House of Wolves, or even Dead! over all, this one was just ok for me. Was this review helpful? My chemical romance is not EMO in this album they show a lot of emotion it is all different. There are songs on there that make you smile "Teenagers" for instance because what is said in there is kinda what some people think and believe. "i dont love you" is a sad nice way of saying goodbye to some one that you don't want to be with any more. "cancer" makes me want to cry every time i hear it. They give me so much happiness and i wish all the best to them in the future because i plan to be a fan to them for ever... This album rocks my world. MCR saved my LIFE!!! Was this review helpful? In my opinion, gerard way's voice changed, he has a more...classical drawly voice, i think...the black parade is a concept album about a character named THE PATIENT who goes on to afterlife in a form of a parade, his strongest memory. The black parade is not a dark album, in fact, some songs are of hope...No offence but i think that the best album is Bullets because it's more mychemicalromance-cy. Nonetheless..it's a great album to buy when you're down..

Everytime I listen to Cancer I can feel my eyes well up. I don't know how Gerard, Bob, Frank, Mikey and Ray did it, but it's incredible. I went to the concert, and they are even better live than they are in the CD. Contrary to popular belief, the main themes in the Black Parade do NOT revolve around death. I would recomend this album to any and everyone! I usually have 2 songs or 3 that I dont much care for but that isnt the case with this album!! I love this album, they have really out done themselves with this one!!! WAY TO GO MCR!!

The first song the end is a little disapointing but it gets better as the second song DEAD! starts off with a brilliant guitar solo This is a song to just get up and dance to, mosh to, or headbang to whatever you feel like doing. The songs after that are also great especially the ultra catchy song Welcome to the Black Parade The album finishes (or so it seems) With Famous Last Words a brill song to finish the album off... until you notice there is a track 14 when on the album sleeve it supposedly has only 13. You have to wait a while before the song (Blood) starts but its worth the wait, though the song dosent last long but it s still brill! This is a good follow up to their last album and is based around a critcally ill man with cancer only known as The Patient. There is a song about his illneess named Cancer a slow song and quite moving and only a piano for company at the back. A very good song in my opinion... Also a brilliant album and worth getting. Gerard Ways singing just gets better and better as the album progresses. I suggest you get this album as soon as possible. Was this review helpful? Sign In |
