Please, if you learn nothing else, please, please understand, every fight may end VERY BADLY... However, do not let this stop you, if you are right... But, if you arent, f@k off.
For the lighter side, this album was written at the absolute zenith of Metallicas creativity, the slower songs best demonstrate this, with their trademark anger, frustration and violent aggresive outbursts. This alters between this album to embrace a rather less violent, altogether more depressingly and starker reality. However, this is the album that takes the listener to the brink of the abyss, and some way beyond, embracing the violence that lives at the core of us all.
Puppets is in a way, a retreat from this disturbing place, the denial of the truth of our character, and a willingness to blame drugs alcohol for letting us find it. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 5/13/2006A review of Ride The Lightning by Anonymous This album ROCKS! An all-time classic without a doubt. I still think MOP is just a liittle better. I prefer the more muscular, thicker sounds of MOP. Having said that is no knock on this album at all. Were talkin 1 and 1A here. Fav. tracks are Bellz, Creep, Fade, and Trapt. Not to say the others are fillers either. I love it when songs go from a light melody to fast and furious in a hearbeat and this album does that great. The speed on this album is relentless. How can you listen to it and NOT get amped up? I feel like Im going to have a heart attack sometimes! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 5/1/2006A review of Ride The Lightning by TommyLeeBone MY REVIEW IS VERY SHORT AND SWEET. THIS ALBUM IS RELENTLESS. IT GOES FROM A SLOW TO FAST QUICKER THAN YOU CAN BAT AN EYELASH. AND I ONLY HAVE ONE QUESTION...AFTER YOU LISTEN TO RIDE THE LIGHTENING, KILL EM ALL, AND MASTER OF PUPPETS, ASK YOUR SELF, WHAT THE $@&* HAPPEN TO THIS BAND. I MEAN I PUT THEM ABOVE ALL IN THE 80S. YEA AND JUSTICE FOR ALL IS GOOD BUT YOU FEEL THE FALL OFF, REAL FANS KNOW, WE WERE CALLING THEM SELL OUTS THEN...AND NOW WHAT HAVE THEY BECOME. A SHADOW OF A BAND. I MEAN THEY SOLD OUT BIG TIME. I MEAN IT HURTS ME TO MY CORE THAT THEY PUT THEIR FAITH TO THE MASSES OF MINDLESS ASS$@&*S WHO DIDNT LIKE THE FORE MENTIONED ALBUMS. DIDNT BECOME FANS TIL ENTER SANDMAN. NOW I LOOK BACK, AND THE ALBUM AND JUSTICE FOR ALL IS A GREAT ALBUM I WAS WRONG BACK THEN ABOUT THE ALBUM, BUT, WASNT WRONG ABOUT THEM SELL ING THEMSELVES OUT. WE STILL HAVE THE TRILOGY TO PLAY SO MOURN THE LOSS OF A ONCE GREAT BAND. Was this review helpful? This is METALLICA at its finest heavy, brutal, melodic and at times unbelievable songs like For Whom the Bell Tolls, Creeping Death, and the ballad Fade to Black show Meatllicas future with honest and sometimes pissed off lyrics that any metal fan appreciate........GET THIS ALBUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 2/2/2006A review of Ride The Lightning by Anonymous Metallicas second album, Ride The Lightning, from 1984, is a good album, it seems like a sort of synthesis between 1983s Kill Em All and 1986s Master of Puppets, which is a good combination the grit, melody, and energy of Kill Em All combined with the greater complexity and sophistication of Master of Puppets. I would defintely recommend buying this album, as well as Kill Em All, Master of Puppets, and the black album, however you might to stop there, as the band members now have short hair and their new music #^!@S!
