Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  andy kellman dont know jackPosted: 4/12/2006A review of The Breakthrough by apersonwhoknowsaboutmu Great album, and Andy Kellman the offical reviewer for this album at AMG has his head up his azz, because One is number 2 on the BBC chart in England this week and possibly higher next week (it is April 12th, 2006 by the way). Yeah, it probably wont chart here in America, but you never know. Additionally, to put it in context it was performed originally in tribute to those in New Orleans who lost nearly everything, and put on the album only because of the duet was so successful. Oneness is a nice concept about now, and it ended Bliges album in a very classy way. Its good to here true heroes of the RB Rock communities getting together and doing something substantial. The song will help promote Mary J. overseas and to Rock fans, while simultaneously keeping U2 on the minds of new music fans and long time Blige fans. The track itself may not be perfect, but it is definitely moving as Mary J. brings new colours to a song that is already timeless. Like Bono said, She took it to Church. Marys conviction throughout the album is great, but no place is it better than on this track, like when she sings, Have you come here to play Jesus to the lepers in your head. And please go visit Andy Kellman next week at your local McDonalds hell be the one handing you, your fries. Andy, dont mess with the Irish!!! Was this review helpful?
