MK still leaves you wanting more on this album while proving his style fits anywhere. You cant help but feel when listening to him...he rocks! EmmyLous voice is gorgeous as always. Then give her an album of Knopfler songs to emote. The density of her vocal gift is evident on her backup vocals on Donkey Town. She evokes emotion with just her voice and no lyrics. Mark Knopfler is no lightweight himself when it comes to evoking melancholy in his songs. As Daniel Lanois and Emmylou managed to magnify the deep-felt emotions in each others performances on Wrecking Ball, the same holds true with the pairing of Ms. Harris with Mark Knopfler. Mr. Knopfler has not sounded more sincere since the early days of the Dire Straits. Is Emmylou what has been missing from his performances all these years? Was this review helpful? I was blown away! I never would have put these two incredible talents together, but it works very well! It is a perfect fit. Favorites, after just one listen are This is Us, Belle Star, I Dug Up A Diamond, Love and Happiness. Knopflers guitar is as sharp as ever!
