Mariah is amaizing. She literally blew me away. All of my friends talk about her. We can not belive this. Personally I would say Shake it Off was the best. But We Belong Together was also amaizing. Along with every other song on this album. If I did not convince you enough, listen to the songs your self. If 10 stars were in option, this album would get that many.

I don't understand how people criticise her voice; she undoubtedly has one of the greatest singing voices aver heard, ok some people don't like it but nobody can claim she can't sing. Perhaps she doesn't sing as well as she used to at the peak of her career but she's still streets aead of most artists these days!
My favourite song right now, is 'stay the night' and 'say something'. Loving 'fly like a bird too'.
The album is selling amzing as well and her singles we belong together and shake it off reached numbers 1 and 2 in the usa. She's back!! x Was this review helpful? Few artists create albums you love from start to finish, but Mariah has done it. Mariah has returned to her roots and it has paid off in this wonderful creation. This is one of her best albums. I listen to "Fly Like a Bird " over and over when im driving and the funny thing is I cant wait to start it over as soon as it's done playing, thats how good it makes my heart feel, and I suspect that is how Mariah feels when she listens to and sings it.This album will give Mariah just what she needs to get her place back in the music world. Sign In 2 out of 2 users found this helpful She's Back!!!Posted: 10/5/2005A review of The Emancipation of Mimi [U.S. Full Length CD] by Racenjason_19 After hearing about this new album, I was not all excited about it, becasue her last two albums flopped, but when I heard "It's Like That","We Belong Together," and "Say Something" I became really amazed by how much better she improved from her previous efforts, but I wish she could be able perform a song without the very high pitch voice, and sound more grown-up, however, I will admit that she has had a lot of success and I think she will do better as time moves on. This album is well-made and has made her a superstar again with her 17th hit song "We Belong Together" and might get her 18th number one with "Shake It Off," I really enjoyed this album and would be a really great for anyone's collection. Before I bought the cd, I wasn't really excited about getting it. The first couple of cuts that were aired on the radio I liked, but I thought I would be in for a sad disappointment (given her last few CD's). Man was I wrong when I bought it and heard the entire album. I didn't think she could sound like she used to anymore after toning it down a little on her last couple of albums. The Emancipation of Mimi deserves its title and it has some TRULY STUNNING tracks on it and I'm in love with everyone of them. She's hitting high notes left and right like when she first came out and carrying them beautifully. Her voice excells on all the mixes of hip hop sounds, R&B, and ballads. She's 35 now and she's way surpassed anything any of these younger female artists out there who's trying to make it to her status. She's already made her mark years ago and its wonserful that she's still kept it. Beautiful album - a must buy for your collection. Was this review helpful? After two albums which were disappointing, Mariah has made a remarkable comeback. The album has great songs like the catchy One and only (which I play over and over again), and Get your number. There are classic ballads like Joyride and inspirational songs like Fly like a bird (which Mariah perfomed live on the Katrina benefit concert). Those two made me remember the glory days of the 90s. The songs which she has promoted so far has made their way to the top ten of Billboard. We belong together is simply huge. Don't be surprised if Mariah gets a Record of the Year nomination for that song, as well as nominations on the R&B categories. Tommy Mottola called The Emancipation of Mimi Mariah's best work, and in my opinion her best since Daydream. Don't miss this one. Was this review helpful?
