Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Mariah's Compelling EmotionsPosted: 5/4/2005A review of Emotions by musicnoter271 Mariah Carey had a lot to live up to after her debut album peaked at number one, featured four number one singles, and sold nine million copies in the U.S. Her 1991 sophomore album, Emotions, was a formidable success. Emotions' best tracks are the three singles that were released ("Emotions" - #1 Pop and #1 R&B, "Can't Let Go" - #2 Pop and #2 R&B, "Make It Happen" - #5 Pop and #7 R&B). Joy, Sadness, and Spirituality are all the various emotions that were displayed on this album. "And You Don't Remember", "If It's Over". "So Blessed", "Till The End Of Time", and "The Wind" each provide the listener with a multitude of emotions that range from lost love, sadness, and despair. Also check out the uptempo hits, "You're So Cold" and "To Be Around You" Was this review helpful? This is my favorite album of hers thus far, though they are all superb and uniquely beautiful. Mariah Carey is more than just a singer/songwriter... She is a true legend, and her legacy will live on forever. I love her to pieces, as do all of my fellow lambs. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 1 users found this helpful  Mariah's EmotionsIn all honestly i think Mariah could have done better of course she had a #1 hit with "Emotions" but the other songs on the album didn't go well with her voice or the songs didn't did go with the album of course i love songs like "Emotions,"Can't Let Go",and "Make It Happen" but other wise the album wasn't really a compelling to me like her 1st album which was alot better in spite of this she is one of the best songer writers in the world but i think she could have done better<br>-Pat.
