Date  Helpful Rating 0 out of 0 users found this helpful  Not Bad, But...Posted: 12/9/2006A review of Lifehouse by kyuuketsukikurai Having been following Lifehouse since No Name Face, and owning all the albums, I have to say I was slightly disappointed with this album.
Compared to the uniqueness and pure emotional power of their first 2 albums, this albums seems like mostly radio fodder. The album is still ok to listen to, but the songs all sound the same, and its not one that I can honestly say that I will put in my CD player very often like I do with No Name Face or Stanley Climbfall... I love Jason Wades writing talent!

FIRST TIME I HEARD IT WITHOUT WATCHING THE VIDEO IT BROUGHT ME TO TEARS BECAUSE AT THE TIME I WAS STAYING WITH MY AUNT WHO HAD CANCER AND WAS DYING , I WAS THERE TO HELP OUT, SHE WAS A VERY BEAUTIFUL PERSON WHO HAS TOUCHED MANY LIVES AND EVERYTHING SHE DID WAS BEAUTIFUL AND CAME FROM THE HEART, THIS SONG JUST HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS, SHE WAS ALWAYS ASKING WHAT TIME IS IT, WHAT DAY IS IT.. AND THE CLOCK NEVER SEEMED SO ALIVE,AS EVERY MINUTE COUNTED ,
I LOVE THE ALBUM I THINK IT WILL BE HARD TO MATCH THIS ALBUM BUT I HOPE YOU HAVE FUN TRYING..

But what I didnt expect was that it would be THIS GOOD! This is their best album so far. All the songs are very well written and very heartfelt. I was not disappointed and Id love to hear it over and over again!
Watch out for the songs WE'LL NEVER KNOW, BLIND AND WALKING AWAY. Was this review helpful? I know that lifehouse used to be a bit more rough on the edge, but this album is a really good change for them and their fans. it's softer, but I personally think that's a good thing. I've been waiting for them to come out with a new album since the Stanley Climbfall phase, and I'm so glad that this is what they came up with. I think this is the best album of the 3. if you ever get a chance to listen to this album, I'd really recommend "We'll Never Know" and "Walking Away"... both really awesome songs. I wasn't disappointed either. The lyrics are great as always, and the songs are heartfelt and wonderful to listen to. It isn't my favourite album of the three, (No Name Face takes that one) and it has a different quality to it than previous works -that I can't quite put my finger on- but I'm certainly not complaining; I'm just thrilled to have a new Lifehouse album to listen to.
