Although all the albums are good, the tracks on this one are superb, from Battle of Evermore to Four Sticks...and of course, Stairway ). Was this review helpful? Im only a teen but Classic rock is so sweet and this is one of the best by Zeppelin. Among all the greats out there(Pink Floyd,Hendrix, etc.) Zeppelin came though in this great album. So if you like it to good for you and LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN Was this review helpful? This is a stunning song with a solo and lyrics I think everyone remembers and it has been actually considered by many people as the greatest rock song ever. Despite this I personally dont consider this the best work they have, this doesnt mean its not one of the greatest rock albums out there and that its worth to listen to it again and again but if you want my opinion be smart and dont just stay with this album, but also listen to the other ones since they also have GREAT songs that are totally worth your time to listen to. Nevertheless its a great rock album with great songs, great solos, great lyrics and great music. Was this review helpful? The I listened to Zeppelin II for a while and realized it is a step up. I truly love this CD, but a bit of a sell out for them when compared to earlier stuff. Was this review helpful? But who needs a name when ur the biggest rock band that has ever existed. Led Zeppelin Untitled or as many beleive as signs, zoso, or zeppelin 4, is probably one of the most inspirational cds of all time with songs like Black Dog, Rock "N" Roll, and of course Stairway To Heaven, that have infulenced people for many years. This album contains hard hitting drums with John Bonham behind the drums, smooth guitar solos from Jimmy Page, backed with amazing bass lines by John Paul Jones, and the almost untouchable vocals of Robert Plant. This cd is a must own in any household Was this review helpful? The best part of this album is the mix of styles which showcases all of Zep's strength. The hard core sound of "Rock and Roll"; the folk inspired acoustic guitar of "Going to California" and my all time favorite "Stairway to Heaven" which in itself showcases all of Led Zeppelin's styles and strengths needless to say the band has few week points. I rated this album 5 Stars as I would almost all other albums they have recorded. Was this review helpful? My favorite song on this has to be Stairway to Heaven. Great Album. Buy this album. NOW! Was this review helpful? Sign In 8 out of 9 users found this helpful Posted: 1/6/2005A review of Led Zeppelin IV by vman4114 The beginning of the 1970's , although seeing the loss of some of the greats of rock music (Hendrix, Morrison etc) also saw an absolutely timeless album released each year for at least the first 4 years. This not only takes that title for 1971, it grabs onto it with both hands and just refuses to let go. By far the most outstanding of the Zeppelin back catalogue, this album was the only one of their entire career that truly captured all facets of the band at full flight. From the opening notes of"Black Dog" you are instantly swept away on a journey through rock music that no band can ever hope to match. And it keeps getting better; "Rock & Roll", "Stairway To Heaven", "Misty Mountain Hop", until finally this adrenalin rush of rock closes with a flourish on "When The Levee Breaks", which shows once & for all why these guys are STILL one of the biggest selling artists of all time. "Levee" pulls no punches, and although not necessarily as melodic as say, "Stairway", it is a true blues number, which after all is what got the boys started as the New Yardbirds in 1968, and to this day remains one of my all time favourite Zep tracks (along with "In My Time of Dying" from Physical Graffiti, both of which I first heard as a metal-mad 15 year old..thanks Alex!!). I could go on with much more praise for this CD but let's face it, it's all been said before...suffice to say just go out and give yourself a real education in rock music at its finest because this is without a doubt one of the few albums in rock history that sounds as good now as it did more than 30 years ago, alongside other great 70's landmarks such as Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" (1970), Deep Purple's "Machine Head" (1972) and Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" (1973) Was this review helpful? Led Zeppelin is an awesomely talented band and IV proves it. It was possibly the best $18 I have spent in the past year! Was this review helpful? When the list of songs includes "stairway to heaven", which is commonly referred to as the greatest rock song off all-time it must be a great album. " The Battle of Evermore" adds a mythcal voice to the record as it talks of the Lord of the Rings triliogy, as does " Misty Mountain Hop". This record encompasses many kinds of music and the idea of the record can be heard when one listens to "stairway to heaven" which in my opinion makes the album amazing. Was this review helpful?
