The album contains many heart hitting classics ( Family Business, Through The Wire). Also containing many great visits by Twista, Jamie Foxx, Ludacris, Jay-Z, Mos Def and others. The album is a automatic classic from the get go. Most of the hype from this album has came from Jesus Walks I think the hype should have gone to tracks like Last Call that tell the story of Kanyes life and his path to sucess. Many songs became instant hits such as All Falls Down, which contains an old lyric from luaryn Hill which is re sang by Syleena Johnson. Others include Slo Jamz , The New Work Out Plan and others.
Kanye West album is an under rated classic hip hop CD.

Kaney's rhymes are impressive, the production is unbelievable, and everything has a meaning, a purpose. With the CD, Kanye made and set his own pedestal for rap. This was one of the best debuts out of any artist in 2004. The beats are on point and the lyrics are stellar. Such acts as Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli and many others are featured in this classic bit. My favourite track would have to be "Get Em High". The beat on that track is off the radar and the rapping from both Common & Talib Kweli is pure fire. I'm sure that "Late Registration" will be just as good as TCD. So I give this album a perfect 5 stars.

I usually don't buy CDs or anything because it's easier to just download for free, but when I heard "All Falls Down" I loved it. So, after alot of contimplating I decided to buy it for the12.95 and it was worth much more. I believe that this should've won the best album at the Grammys, but he's still one of the best artist in a while.
Roc-A-Fella are lucky that they signed this very briliant lyrical artist, his songs are great and have the right flow, you can actually listen to the whole CD and feel a real flow with it. Kanye West is my favorite artist of the last 5 years. Jay-Z is great, but I don't know if he's going to be the legend that he is after Kanye West gets a couple of more years.. Kanye West is an Unbelievably outstanding rapper....and I don't even listen to rap!
My love is rock & roll, but I picked up his album after learning of his credentials as a producer. Well...this album lives up to all the hype. Kanye did not bring home 3 Grammys for no reason. This album has great songs, great thoughts, great ryhmes, and outstanding production. Just buy it....that's all I have to say! Was this review helpful? Kayne shows all those people that would not sign him early on that he has what they needed i.e. selling power and star power and not to mention powerful rapping skills. In a time when most people are talking about cocaine and birds hes taking it to a new level, with a creative way to rhyme without using nines and guns.
