In my opinion, this CD is Kenye's best work yet. As young and talented as he is, he will no doubt produce even greater music for our enjoyment!

I've listened to both CD's & if your a music enthuiast, or a musician, you should know that saying the same thing gets stale. 50 has become stale, the music may sound new but its not enough if your talkin the same lyrics from your last & 1st album. I take into account everything. he wants to look mad & hard every album cover.i have a cousin that looks like that everyday. thats being old & stale.
Kanye has at the very least given you a story & played to his fans & not be stale. "stronger" is tellin you he needs his fans to become stronger. each of his album covers shows his "mascot" or alter ego whatever you wanna call it. he visually showing you his progression as himself & as a rap artist. listen to the last words he says after "big brother", "dont kill me". its a metaphor people. sometimes it takes a while for others to recognize a good thing when it comes along. That was expected when he went 0 for 5....And to have Ms Brit open the show was a mistake...But GRADUATION.....Everything I expected from kanye, good production good collabos, good lyrics. I think this album is good for hip hop. Tired of hearing the same ol thing. Shootin, fightin, 9 's and glocks. I only rated it a 3 because there were no "speaker thumpers" on it. But wasnt suprised because Kanye is not known for that anyway. And I hope he out sales 50...Cant understand a word he says "DUH DUH MU MU DUH My nine in my pocket"...Hope his album come with a lyric sheet.... Was this review helpful? The way he incorporates samples of the old with contemporary sound is amazing. He is a pioneer of the new sound hip hop needed. Artists like Common have been around long before Kanye, but he is the one that brought this intellectual hip hop to the mainstream.
But............
The new sound in hip hop these days seems to be going more towards the electronica genre than anything else. To think that the word electronica and hip hop together now represent a new sound would make someone laugh a few years back. Kanye Wests new single "Stronger" sounds very much like this new sound in hip hop, but im going to have to apologize for Ye because Timbaland first introduced this sound about a year ago. Can anyone remember a year back when Justin Timberlakes Futuresexlovesound hit the internet? When people first heard "Sexy back" they wondered what the hell it was. Was it Madonna? Or a new emerging female artist. Nope. It came from the mind of arguably the best hip hop producer of our time, Timbaland. He first introduced this sound many will follow this new sound. So sorry Mr. West, even though the track is hot, most of the credit goes to him.
I still support Kanye as well as 50. I actually bought both of their albums yesterday. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Houston I think we have a winner!Posted: 9/12/2007A review of Graduation by DJ25621 I guess the people have spoken and from what I hear Kanye's the winner not that I had any doubt, I've never been a real big 50 fan but I'll give him props for a few hit's however what Kanye does is refreshing and cutting edge it reaches a much larger pool of people, the thing that I find so interesting about his music is the way he uses the strings (violin) and piano so that you can't wait for Hype Williams or someone like to do his video, so he might be the sample king but that's what I mean when I say he reaches both young and those over 30, those samples take you back and make you say I'd never thought to sample that, no offense to 50 but I'll gladly pay for Kanye's album and wait for my son to burn me a copy of 50's.
