But, nonetheless, Jay Zs earlier work is still the best. Also i still think that The Blueprint is his best album. Was this review helpful? If you feel in your Heart Soul the Magic of Hip Hop then you heard this album already and you know it is the greatest ever made. I personally have heard from Illmatic to All Eyez on Me to Doggystyle to Chronic 2001 to The Marshall Mathers LP and NONE...I mean NONE are as good as this one. Ive also heard Reasonable Doubt which is a classic to almost every Jay-Z fan but its still not as good as this one. PSA is an all-time classic song and should be on everyones playing list. He also makes history with 99 problems. What makes it more interesting is that there are really no featured artists to get credit for. But there are All-time great producers who collaborated with him throughout his career and i believe thats what makes this Black Album such a classic. Mark my words-BEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME!!!!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Posted: 4/12/2006A review of The Black Album [Explicit] [Explicit] by Young-Hova-Protege I love this album. His three best I consider to be The Dynasty Album, Reasonable Doubt, and this new illmatic rock right here The Black Album. Only Jay-Z could represent a lifetime in 14 tracks man. Always real. In rap Im biased to love homeys from Brooklyn and my ass come from Queens. Its the flow man. 50 has nothing on jigga.
Holla!
I am M.J. Hip Hops next future hova just watch Mikey-Z rise ya heard!! Watch me become the next God of the Game Was this review helpful? "Black Album" leaves any rap fan as entertained as they can be with hot tracks like "99 Problems" (that's my personal favorite) and "Justify My Thug"
Jay proves he's the "best rapper alive" with this slam of a finale fit for the true king of NY hip hop. All I gotta say is he's gonna be missed!!! WE LOVE U JAY!!!!! Was this review helpful? He isnt like most people out there that have a couple of singles on the album and then 10-13 filler songs so the CD is at least half-way full. He is very talented and every song he has you have to listen to because it has a purpose, to either piss some1 off, tell a story or just get his point across. Awesome album treally a blessing. He retired on top thank God for the Phenom Jay-Z Was this review helpful? He did an amzing job, especially because he doesn't write his lyrics. Whether you like him or you don't, he is one of the greatest rappers ever. The 3 best tracks are 99 Problems, My First Song, and Encore. This album has everything, the great beats, great lyrics, and positive thoughts about his career. It is worth the purchase. BUY IT NOW! Sign In 2 out of 5 users found this helpful Posted: 1/12/2005A review of The Black Album [Explicit] [Explicit] by Esha730 Even though the best rapper alive has retired, The Black Album was one of the best albums I have ever heard. Jay-Z is more than just an artist, or a rapper, he is an entertainter, a musical genius! Jay's lyrical content is more than other rappers, it has feeling and emotion. He speaks as if he is speaking to you directly. Jay is the best rapper than any ever, and I stick by that wholly. The album can be played over and over and he truly embodies what hip-hop is. He has changed his unorthodox flow from fast and rugged to slow and soft over the years. Jay is the most versatile and rapper there is, and to me being versatile in a constantly changing rap game produces longevity. Jay-Z has done it for 10 years and I wish he would stick around and show these kiddie rappers how to really rhyme. Jay is more than just another rapper than most, he is the BEST RAPPER ALIVE!!!! Was this review helpful? Sign In 2 out of 6 users found this helpful Posted: 10/12/2004A review of The Black Album [Explicit] [Explicit] by 2KWALITY2 No matter what anyone says, we all know that Jay is the best rapper of all times. Just look at his success across the board, he sold more albums, won more awards, made more money, captivated more listeners, and look at what he did with Rocawear. Come on now, if you try to say that any other rapper, ever, was better than Jay, you are out of your mind. Just go back and listen to all of his albums, I mean really listen, and you will see exactly what I am talking about. And for those of you who say J ay has sold out, you really don't know music. The Black Album is the perfect end to the perfect career. He went out on top, just like he wanted to. But really, no matter when he went out, he would have been on top. Other rappers can be compared to him, like B.I.G. and Tupac, but don't try and compare Eminem to Jay, no contest. Jay-Z came in and took over East Coast Rap when everyone else was just lettin the West Coast run it. If it weren't for him, where would the East Coast be right now, no one knows. Yeah, B.I.G and Pac were great rappers (number 2 and 3 all time), but they were killed really before their prime, so we can only rate them on what they did release, and if you compare that with what Jay has done, you will honestly see that Jay is the best rapper alive, dead, ever.
