If you don't have this album you are truly hibernating. You cannot say you like Jay-Z without this album. This is it, hands down the best out of all his albums - lyrics non-stop. This Jay-Z before he became mainstream. Definite classic.

Jiggaman's premier album is nothin short of perfect. He demonstrates ill rhymin skills, and demonstrates a charasmatic flow via his gangsta persona. Who you know can flow like hov'? All of these songs just go to show why Jay Z has become king of New York. This is by far, his best album he has ever created.

This cd is great. Jigga is one of the best rappers in the world and he always comes back correct on every CD he does. His lyrics are just clever, and I like all the songs on the cd. You should definely get this cd and all others by this artist. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give this CD a 10 and I give this artist a 10.

This album is Jay-Z's most profound album, with serious def beats, Biggie Smalls, Jaz-O and amazin lyrics, dis album has no ";Doubt"; of being one of the best. From the frist song until the end, dis album is a pure masterpiece, I seriously think dis album should have gotten 5 mics in ";The Source"; and that ";Blueprint"; shoulda got 4 mics. The only annoying part of this album is the skits, besides dat dis album is a true gem in the hip-hop culture. Even when he samples Nas' voice on ";Dead Presidents Pt.1"; it sounds genious, too bad they both became rivals (reminds me of 'Pac & Biggie) two thumbs up...

He came in with a bang. Out of everything the man's done, Reasonable Doubt is untouchable. I am dead serious when I write that I have yet to hear something that can top this CD. Who else do you know that talks jewels and spits diamonds? The man wasn't even a star yet and he came out boastin' because he's just that god-damned good. All I can say is Jay keep doing your thing-thing and f**k all the haters, they hate you 'cause thay ain't you. What other reason could there be?

This album is definitely a classic. Jay's other albums might have more recognizable hits, but this album is off the hook. Jay definitely sounds younger, but we get to hear the beginnings of his unmistakeable flow. The song is full of hits from the beginning to the end, and is mostly just Jay showing off his own skills. The only guest appearances are by Biggie, M. Bleek, and Foxy Brown. The rest are just Jay doing his thing. If you are a Jay Z fan, you have got to have this album in your collection.
