However, the song Come Clean isnt all that bad, and a few of the other songs are ok. For the rest of the album, though, I just cant stop thinking about how some disney actor is trying to sing. 1. So Yesterday - 10.10, its great and totally catchy.
2. Come Clean - 10.10, YES one of my favorites on this cd.
3. Workin It Out - 10.10, good song
4. Little Voice - 9.10, really good, but i dont like the lyrics to much
5. Where Did I Go Right? - 10.10, i LOVE it, well done
6. Anywhere But Here - 8.10, like it alot, sometimes i feel that way
7. The Math - 10.10, love the music and the words..so awesome..we see her true rocker side.
8. Love Just Is - 8.10, not my favorite, but its very true
9. Sweet Sixteen - 6.10, everything about this song is stupid, but im guilty of loving it
10. Party Up - 7.10, its pretty good
11. Metamorphasis - 10.10, love it
12. Inner Strength - 10.10, way to short, but i love anyways and its the truth
BONUS. Why Not? - 7.10, i like the original words from the Lizzie McGuire Movie better, but these r ok...
yessssssssssssssssssssssssss....i love this cd and it will always be one of my favorites. Hilary Duff doesnt have the best voice but shes still one of my favorties cuz her music is so great! Some people may say its just a CD with shallow, bubblegum, Disney songs. But if one listens carefully to the lyrics on songs like So Yesterday, Anywhere But Here, and especially Inner Strength you can see that they have a deep meaning. The best songs in my opinion are
1.) So Yesterday
2.) The Math
3.) Where Did I Go Right?
4.) Anywhere But Here
5.) Come Clean
6.) Inner Strength
7.) Why Not Bonus Track
I think its relly great that 7 out of 13 songs are great. Thats a little unusual for a teen pop album. I would have to say Sweet Sixteen is the worst song, simply because it sounds a ittle too cliche.
While it wouldnt be a great idea for Hilary Duff to ever make songs exactly like this again, simply because shes 18 now, this album was a really good kick-start to her music career. Sign In 1 out of 2 users found this helpful The album..Posted: 1/29/2006A review of Metamorphosis by Soffie_Frankie Hilary Duffs debut, Metamorphosis, is what teen pop should sound like in 2003. It picks up on mainstream trends, particularly those spearheaded by Avril Lavigne, but turns them light and sweet, making for a very good modern bubblegum album. One of the keys to its success is that Duff is never sexed up, the way that Britney Spears was right from the start of her career. This is also true of Hilary in her acting career, since her TV alter ego, Lizzie McGuire, is a regular teenager with teenage concerns, including (but not limited to) crushes on unattainable boys, getting along with her pest of a little brother, understanding her parents, worrying about money, and negotiating the cliques at her school. Metamorphosis is the musical equivalent of Lizzie McGuire, only splashier and savvier and not as silly or Disneyfied as the show. In other words, its the sound of a preteen turning teenager, finding inspiration in the tough-girl pose of Avril but also being in the fortunate position of being able to work with the Matrix as well. The three songs helmed by the Matrix -- So Yesterday, Where Did I Go Right?, and The Math -- bear their trademark beats, acoustic guitars, and ridiculous spoken interjections, and they all sound a bit more natural coming from a teenager than they do coming from, say, Liz Phair, but Avrils influence can be heard throughout the record, particularly in how Duff has absorbed how Lavigne appeals to average girls while singing insidiously catchy songs. Hilary does that here, too, but she has a sweeter, more appealing voice than Avril, and the rest of the record follows her cheerful charisma, resulting in a charmingly effervescent listen. While some songs shine brighter than others, there is no dullness here, and the whole thing clocks in at a breezy 43 minutes, which helps keep things light and engaging. Was this review helpful? Im a Portuguese fan of Hill and I LOVE her so much!! I really amaze her work and her talent. I think that this girl have future and I think that she is amazing in everything that she does.
For me this are the best album of ever!! I listen it everyday.
