I still have Joni's original album with grooves worn from playing so often..... And what a wonderful surprise to hear Herbie again. I feel like I have found a long lost friend and my favorite fuzzy slippers. What a delight on a quiet Friday night. Was this review helpful? Sign In 0 out of 0 users found this helpful Throwback to a purer jazzPosted: 10/30/2007A review of River: The Joni Letters by Anonymous this CD eases over you like a cashemere sweater.It settles around you and gently lifts you up transporting you into a palacial jazz heaven ,conjuring images of masters past.Miles, Coltrane even Arthur Prysock.
