It truly deserves its 30 year reign as the best selling album of all time as well. It is the most consistent album by the Eagles and contains most their best work. ItsIf the Eagles were to form today as a new band, they would be considered a supergroup. But back in the 70s, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit were just a group of extremely talented songwriters and musicians who churned out some of the most lush ballads and catchiest rock tunes ever heard on the radio. They not only appeal to rock fans but alot of country fans as well. Theyve even inspired many of todays biggest country stars. Its no wonder it has done so well all these years. The Eagles have a timeless quality about them that will never go out of style and this album is perfect from beginning to end. A record that all others should be measured by. Long live the Eagles! A friend of mine met one of the members of this band at a music store. She worked behind the counter and he was buying some stuff. She didn't know who he was until he left, she flirted with him and said he was cute for an:"old guy." She said he was nice and soft spoken. When he left all the other employees came around her and told her who it was... Oh and he also wrote Hotel California. True Story. Was this review helpful? It brings out their best before Hotal Califorina . It`s hard to beleave that they get even better after this LP . Even so, this is great to listen to . What a great band is made of ! Although i don't like "Best of's", I had no choice in this case because none of thier early albums were available in the shop. My favourites are the first three songs especially "Witchy Woman" because that song sort of reminds me of someone I know... Anyways, this comes highly recommended and I certainly don't regret buying it. Was this review helpful? Most of the great songs are on here, including my favorite song in the whole world, Take it to the Limit. I saw them in concert in 2002, and I will be at their next concerts! I love them!
