All the songs kinda sound the same, and Davids voice gets annoying after a while. The only song that really stuck out to me is Ten Thousand Fists which is very addicting and currently my favorite song. I still would reccomend this album if you really like Disturbed, but if you have never heard them, I would buy The Sickness, which I think is their best album Was this review helpful? It takes a lot to impress me, and I must say, this is one of my favorites. Complex melodies and rhythms, powerful refrains and profound interludes sung in a language you can understand, as opposed to mindless screaming and cussing. Some believe that songs should not have particular messages, but it takes some spine to stand up for something and convey a message of power and integrity such as in Im Alive and Land of Confusion despite what may be happening around you.
I just loaded this album into my MP3 player and went jogging, and I was virtually immune to pain. In fact, it was like I could feed off it and break into an all-out sprint on several occasions. I blasted over my course despite being sore from running yesterday. You want this album. Was this review helpful? 3 years ago I was listening to the mainstream crap of Simple Plan and Good Charlotte, the albums that make you want to jump off a bridge they are so depressing and emo. It was until that I had enough of these noobish bands that I threw the CDs against the wall and screamed I NEED REAL MUSIC!!!!. So I logged onto the internet and began finding worthy bands for me to listen to. just last year, I found a gift from well, I dont know, but I found Disturbed....
Disturbed has the greatest music Ive ever heard. They are a kind of band that makes you want to kick the Sht out of somethin after you listen to one of their songs. Their music is a gift, and we all should treasure it forever. Theyve changed my outlook on life to Nothing or no one should bring you down,. I read a review here asking Disturbed to be less gothic and look up to god more. Whoever posted that, please rethink this...if you are that religious, maybe you shouldnt be listening to heavy metal. Because I wouldnt change a thing about disturbed, they are damn perfect.
Thank you Disturbed, for coming into my life and making it ten times better. Thank you for making me restore my hope that all heavy metal hasnt turned emo. Was this review helpful? Sign In 1 out of 2 users found this helpful Raise your fists!!!Posted: 4/18/2006A review of Ten Thousand Fists by admiral_ramsfan ive been a HUGE Disturbed fan since i first heard Stupify and Down With The Sickness on The Sickness album. ive got to say right now The Sickness was and is Disturbeds BEST album EVER. but damned if 10,000 Fists isnt growing on me the more i listen to it. my favorites off this album are 10,000 Fists, Deify, Decadence, Guarded and Just Stop. im not really a Fan of new bands doing covers of old songs, so i just skip listening to Land of Confusion however other then that this cd is top notch and reminds me more of The Sickness then Believe. though its fairly obvious this band is now lacking Fuzz, one of the founding members. except for the whole religous conversion of Brian hed Welch, it certainly almost compares to Hed leaving Korn. still Disturbed Rocks on and does so with supreme Gusto as this cd gives evidence. certainly Believe had its strong points but id also say Believe really just didnt have the feel of a Disturbed album...especially only following 2 years after The Sickness. this cd is 5 years past The Sickness and certainly would have made a MUCH STRONGER follow up to such an astounding Debut album like The Sickness. if you like Metal and love Disturbed and dont already have this cd then WTF are you still doing sitting there on your lazy azz, get up and get out and buy it. A couple weeks before the release of this album i heard a song called perfect insanity which was terrible. although it was an unreleased track I was really worried about the overall sound of this album. When I got it i realized i was wrong. This is the best disturbed album ever. I would reccomend songs like Guarded, Deify, Stricken, Im alive, Decadence, sacred lie, and pain redefined.
