The reason i gave it 5 stars is bc, i loved the song that were on the CD. For the people who dont knw me,... My name is Ashley M. Woodford. I had fallen off of the DC bandwagon after The Writings On The Wall (which to me is STILL their best), but this album is really good. Im not even gonna hate. I am quite tired of Beyonce though, but she is doin her thing as far as writing goes. Her voice still needs a little help but I guess she did good enough to go like quadruple platinum with DC and solo! My favorite song on this album is If. It has all the right melodies and harmonies!! This CD reflects the girl-to-woman paths all three are currently walking, and I like it (sorry - they wouldnt remain teenagers forever!) Im giving a four-star rating because (as always) Beyonce has leads on most of the songs. I dont dislike Beyonce (I actually like her voice.) I just want to see Kelly Michelle sing lead on more of the groups songs.
This CD makes DC sound more like a true group (a la En Vogue.) I just wished it had happened sooner. Was this review helpful? the man of their dreams. I have always like
Destinys Child every since the album Destinys child
theyre my Favorite group of all time but i am only
13 so0 i havent seen all the girl groups. and Beyonce
is my FAVORITE female artist and then ciara,fantasia,

These three women have passed the summit of great voices. Destinys Child are the Supremes of our Generation and even though the ladies have decided to to further their careers by solo. We will always remember them as the great Destinys Child.
Beyonce did not seal the spotlight from Kelly and Michelle.
But if she did, Im well aware that it wasnt intentional.

Which is not necessarily a bad thing, as Beyonce is the best singer out of the three. I also thought that this album was weaker out of all their albums, as once they were "independent women", and now they "need a soldier to spend money on them" etc. And on "girl", Two of them were trying to convince the other to drop some guy who was cheating on her. In their previous releases, they would have done it, but ohhh no. She says "OMG! He's not cheating on me. im making it hard on him. I NEED A MAN!!!" those lyrics made her come across as a weak woman in denial that her man is a cheating man-hoe. I thought DC were christian women, or something. In their song 'Survivor', they said "I aint gonna compromise my christinanity", or something. But their lyrics on this album are not christian at all. They have fallen from grace. And what is beyonce doing with Jay-Z. He's got some of the worst, profane, slutty lyrics I've ever heard. Was this review helpful? I am truly their biggest fan and it hurts me greatly. But what hurts even more is that they DIDN'T go out with a bang. Thier last cd was anbsolutely mediocre. survivor was way better. I am pissed that this cd is this cd wasn't showing their full potential. If they make asnother album, it better be good. SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL THEM TO STEP THEIR GAME UP FOR THEIR REUNION ALBUM.......
