Just follow the instruction and play at full volume. Its Bowie through and through but still unique like each of his albums. Was this review helpful? Oddly most of the music on this wonderful album never made it on the radio with exception of the obvious. "Starman" which should of made it on the "Greatest Hits" fell short along with "Soul Love". For those who are not familiar with David Bowie or this album, I believe will be in for a pleasing surprise with the above mentioned tracks including the powerful and sweeping jewels like "It Ain't Easy", "Hang On To Yourself", "Moonage Daydream", Suffragette City" and "Rock And Roll Suicide". For the Bowie Fan, this is certainly one of his best albums that definately put Bowie in one of the most provocative performers of the time.
It's an awesome album, and that is an understatement in so many ways, Bowie proved to be the leader of the Rock and Roll path in the day. I would like to see David revisit some of his older and in my opion, better talents than of his later albums. If you like "Golden Years", "Fame", "Major Tom" then this album is certainly for you. It should be in everyone's serious music collection... Was this review helpful? I was 14. It opened my eyes to really great music that was not recieving commercial radio time.
This was the first album Bowie did that truly revealed his first true alter ego to the masses. One of many to come.
Like the back cover says " TO BE PLAYED AT MAXIMUM VOLUME" Was this review helpful? Sign In 1-3 of 3 Per Page |
