We are a singing family and we sing with and without the cd. Our favorite is Like a Star and MY favorite is Butterfly. But the children knows all the words of the whole cd. Congrats on this cd. Accompanied by mellow then at times buoyant musical themes Corinnes enchanting, distinct vocals stream through this excellent CD. Each track is a delicate balance of lyrics, tempo and arrangement. The first single Put Your Records On is light and fun to listen to, check out Like a Star and the other great tracks and find yourself exploring relationship, love and friendship through thoughtful lyrics. Her voice is beautiful, light, airy yet very soulful. It reminds me of some Nora Jones, type Erykah Badu neo soul. I instantly feel in love with her album. Ms. Baileys voice is auditory silk to be sure. However the overall tone of the record seem a little too lovelorne, save for Put your records on .Theres a quality to her voice that begs to explore more up-tempo areas. Even more sexy,less sticky- sweetness would be nice. Perhaps she and her producers are waiting for her sophmore album to tackle new material. Overall, very easy to listen to and enjoy, perferably not alone.... Was this review helpful? She has this raw sound, sort of like Billie Holiday. This album has some incredible music on it. It reminds me of how blown away I was when I first heard MeShell Ndegeocellos Bitter album.
