Behind those eyes is the one highlight of the album. Other than that, it stinks. Was this review helpful? I was introduced to this band by a hockey player that I know, and saw them at BAYFEST in SARNIA, ONTARIO a couple of years ago, and they were awesome!!!!!
The only reason that I only gave them 4 out of 5 stars is that I NEVER EVER EVER give a band 5 STARS, I have yet to listen to a band that deserves that rating. Was this review helpful? I bought their CD the day after it came out (The Wal-Mart near me sold out before 12 Noon, sold 340 copies in less than 6 hrs.) That Wal-Mart seves a population of over 60,000. To sell out that quick is remarkable. They have great vocals, AWSOME Guitar work, they are American (Rock on USA!) and most of all, they know what they are singing. They are involved in what they sing. They base what they sing off of the real world. Some bands base it off their lives, their lives are not like 90% of the world. 3DD bases it off the younger groups, High Schoolers. That is one thing that gives their music the extra "Kick". People of many ages can still relate to their music. I encourage people of all ages to listen to their music. Was this review helpful? "Seventeen Days" is no exception. From the rock anthem "It's Not Me" to the ballad "Be Somebody", this album has everything a 3 Doors Down fan (like myself) they are looking for and a lot more, with a special guest appearance by one of rock's and blues' true patriarchs Bob Seiger on the rock ballad "Landing In London". Skeptics who thought that the follow-up to the platinum record "Away From The Sun", take note of this album. Was this review helpful? REALLY good , boo to all those ppl who dont like the CD cuz i think you just dont get it, and ppl who havent heard it yet, you should definitly get it if you like rock music and songs that arent all about love, or other things that are sung about alot. also 3 doors down other CD "Away from the Sun" is a very good cd....

Sign In 7 out of 8 users found this helpful Posted: 4/23/2005A review of Seventeen Days by Scoobeedoobeedoo I believe the professional reviewer of this album Johnny Loftus underestimated this album even though his review was favorable. Somehow this band has managed to capture heart felt emotions extremely well. Their hard hitting emotional music has filled a void in my rock music collection. There isn't one song on this album that your going to instantly say 'that’s a hit' which I believe is a good thing since I often get tired of hits almost instantly. No, this album has many songs that you will find after listening to it. There is a strong feeling in their music of taking control of life and succeeding, which empowers the listener. This is good stuff! Was this review helpful?
