This artist has grown a lot since her debut CD, By Your Eyes. The songswriting shows that she has a very strong sense of melody and a widening range of subject matter. "The Weasel" is a harrowing and funny song about infidelity and one's place in the crowd. "Blue as My Darlin'" is a potential country hit, a real adorable, yet insightful, character study. On "If I Were You, " she turns to romanticism and seems to believe in it. One wishes the production and arrangement were a little more distinctive because the songs are strong and varied enough to benefit from it. ~ Richard Meyer, All Music Guide
