Ted Heath led one of the most popular British big bands of the 1950s. The music on this LP, drawn from a variety of different sessions from 1953-56, is, in general, a bit more progressive and bop-oriented than usual. Among the key soloists are tenor saxophonist Danny Moss, pianist Frank Horrox, baritonist George Hunter, trumpeter Bobby Pratt, and tenorman Don Rendell. Kenny Graham's four-part "Australian Suite" and such standards as "Lullaby of Birdland" and "Cloudburst" are among the highpoints of this swinging set. ~ Scott Yanow, All Music Guide
