Richard Meyer has made an artistic breakthrough with this, his third album. The curious song structures and intricate productions are well crafted. The seven minute title cut is driven by mandolins, harp and, drums; while "Century's End" (a song of the Holocaust's last survivor) uses minor key violin lines to emphasise the lyric. Meyer is joined on "Blind October" by Katy Moffatt in a cinematic romantic travelogue duet. Meyer covers a lot of political and romantic ground in this hauntingly arranged album. ~ Bill McCaully, All Music Guide
