This duo from Staten Island, NY, does an effective job of combining mainsteam singer/songwriter sensibilities with jazzy guitar-based songs. Maryann's voice has the elasticity of Rickie Lee Jones with more of a whisper and articulation. She sounds perpetually heartbroken, and it's an endearing quality.
